The Lao America Sports Hall of Fame (LASHOF) is dedicated to preserving the history and recognizing the athletic achievements of the Laotian diaspora in the Americas.  Sports are a part of the human journey and the success that Laotian Americans and Canadians have achieved is relatively unknown even within the Lao community.  LASHOF is an all-volunteer organization trying to change that.

 

Studies have shown that youth who participate in sports do better academically, have improved physical health and better self-esteem.  Sports teach teamwork, goal achievement and problem-solving skills that help individuals lead a more successful and fulfilling life.  Athletic role models help show our youth that dreams and goals can be accomplished through hard work, dedication and discipline.  Whether chasing an athletic, artistic, or personal goal we hope that the stories of these accomplished athletes inspire another generation of Laotian youth to be proud of who they are and pursue their dreams.

In 2023 a non-profit called Lao International Sports NFP (LIS) was formed to help facilitate our mission.
