The La Jolla Country Day school Torreys were gearing up for the 2017/2018 basketball season when the unthinkable happened.  Their star point guard went out in pre-season with an injury.  In stepped freshman Jazzy Anousinh who would awe fans with her ball-handling skills and help lead the Torreys to a division title.

Jazzy grew up in San Diego, CA, and attended La Jolla Country Day School (LCDS) where she excelled at basketball and track.  She played club basketball for the San Diego Waves in the off-season and was a four-year starter at LCDS. During her junior year, she led the Torreys to a 32-1 record and number one national rank according to Maxpreps.

Jazzy topped off her career at LCDS having scored over 1,000 points and 500 assists. She was named the San Diego Union-Tribune Athlete of the Week four times, named first-team all-league four times, and was a McDonald’s All-American nominee.

Jazzy’s success at the high school level earned her a spot on the roster of the NCAA Division 1 California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly) and she joined the Mustangs after graduating from high school in 2021.  Jazzy is early in her college career so be sure to check back for updates. She is the daughter of Enoy and Mina Anousinh.
